Civica Initiatives is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people and strengthening democratic institutions.
We support under-resourced communities trying to improve society through changes in public policy. By sharing staff, consultants, and vendors, we make it possible for a small group of people to change the world. That makes us stronger together.

The initiatives are led by staff committed to specific missions. They, in turn, are supported by senior staff who are experts in developing and implementing ambitious strategies. Together, we draw on top consultants and vendors who provide services across our initiatives.
Our program capacity is matched by our commitment to operational success. Many small organizations struggle to hire experts in their fields and to build and maintain their internal systems. By sharing operational responsibilities across our initiatives, we remove that burden from the program staff and decrease costs.

In advancing those goals, we have raised tens of millions of dollars, enabling us to garner extensive media coverage, run digital marketing campaigns, and stage conferences, panel discussions, and recognition events. Most importantly, we have organized stakeholders into effective movements and empowered them to engage policymakers.
