He has held several leadership and management positions as a partner at two national law firms. Bruce currently serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including DC Vote, where he is a director and former Chair.

Jennifer Bagaglio is an experienced Chief Operating Officer with a background in finance, HR, and operations management. She has a proven track record in budgeting, strategic planning, and board relations. Jennifer has previously held leadership positions in various nonprofit organizations, focusing on community engagement, coalition building, and volunteer management.

Linda Kinney is an expert on technology transitions and the net zero economy. She brings 30 years of global policy and strategy expertise having served in executive roles at major U.S. companies, an association, and the federal government. She is an active investor and advisor on cleantech solutions and serves on the board of industry associations, family businesses, and nonprofits.

Dr. Jose Blackorby has over 25 years of experience in large-scale research, development, and assessment projects focused on improving programs and outcomes for students with disabilities and other students who struggle. His current work focuses on next generation applications of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Jose has contributed to the field through publications, products, membership on national advisory boards, and higher education teaching.

Melissa Newman is a skilled public policy executive and attorney. She currently is senior vice president at a telecommunications trade association. For over three decades, Melissa has worked on legal and strategic issues for both the private and public sector.

Chief Executive Officer
Ilir Zherka is the founder and CEO of Civica Initiatives. He has previously run four different nonprofit organizations, worked on Capitol Hill, and was a political appointee in the Clinton Administration. He is the author of Winning the Inside Game: the Handbook of Advocacy Strategies. Ilir also provides consulting services on management, organizational development, and advocacy issues.
